FirstSite Gallery

I went to the firstsite gallery In colchester and was asked to draw a minimum of 8 simple drawings yet trying to maintain as much detail as possible.

 

Inspiration Illustration

Julie Verhoeven has to be my favourite inspiration artist at the moment!

She has got some wicked free flowing design!

I had ago myself but I think I may leave the drawing to her. :)

Textiles

In textiles I was asked to create 2 pieces of textiles using unsual starting points.

My unusal starting points where the actress Louise Brooks and butcher. 

With Louise Brooks being an black and white film actress and butcher to do with blood and sharp knife's, that is where I got my inspiration for my designs. 

Techniques used are screen print, sewing machine and hand sewing.

Illustration

I was given a list of 20 random question and was asked to create a visual image for the questions of my choice!

Being me, I strayed from the list and created my own questions and here are some of my outcomes.

I'm new at this.
